How does he work?

  1. Free home assessment (approximately 30 minutes). We check your electrical panel, take the house with you, and discuss what you want to run when the power goes out.

  2. Written quote. Generator size, transfer switch, placement, additional gas or propane, permit — one price, no surprises.

  3. Installation. Typically one day on site. Permits, pad, wiring, gas connection, startup and commissioning. 

  4. Monitoring and maintenance. We connect the unit to Mobile Link, wind it up during our monitoring and set up your first annual service.

Questions we ask every weekend

  • About as loud as a normal conversation from a few meters away. No more neighbors whose running you notice.

  • Either way. If your street is natural, it doesn't need refilling. Furthermore, we use a gas tank for your generator and your typical outage length.

  • It depends on what you want to store: furnace, well pump, sump pump, fridge — or the whole house. We read it during the free evaluation, but not on the phone.

  • Once a year, or after approximately 200 hours of running. Skipping it may void the warranty.

  • A home standby system is a significant investment: the unit, the transfer switch, the installation, and the gas connection. We provide a written price after the assessment.
