Poulin Électrique respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our website or do business with us, what we collect, how we use and protect it, and what your rights are. It is written to comply with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, under Act 25.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us: name, email address, telephone number, address, and details of your request (quote, service, maintenance) or, if you indicate a job, your summary and the information it contains.
Information collected automatically: browser and device type, IP address, pages visited, date and time of visit and referring site, through cookies and similar technologies (see section 5).
Information in your customer file: installation address, installed equipment, and service history. If your | Generac The generator is connected to our Mobile Link monitoring platform; the unit also sends its status and alert data.
Our website is not directly linked to children. We do not yet know how to personally collect information from a child under 14 without the consent of a parent or guardian.
2. Why we collect this
To address your concerns and provide you with a quote;

Promotional communications are only sent to those who have opted in; you can unsubscribe at any time using the provided link or by writing to us. Withdrawing your consent at any time may be subject to legal or contractual restrictions; doing so may limit our ability to provide certain services.

This is not your information. We can share it:
With our service providers, there is only the necessary scope to perform their work and under strict obligations: website hosting (Squarespace), email and office tools (Microsoft 365), management, invoicing, payment and email delivery, and advertising platforms (Meta, Google). Transfers outside Quebec. Part of our information supply or processing takes place outside Quebec, including in other parts of Canada and the United States. 5. Cookies and tracking technologies
Our site uses three types of cookies:
Essential: necessary for the site to function (security, formatting, preferred language). They can be turned off.
Analytics: If we have seen the pages and how visitors move through the site, we can therefore improve it.
Advertising: for example the Meta pixel, which measures our campaigns and allows us to see that you are targeting other platforms.
Analytics and advertising cookies—including any technology that could identify, locate, or profile you—are disabled by default. They are only used with your consent, up to the banner displayed on your first visit. You can change your mind at any time by deleting cookies in your browser or modifying its settings; the site functions without non-essential cookies.
6. What is the length of our hold?
We protect your information for as long as you need it for the above purposes, and then for the period required by law, including for our insurance records, tax records, and obligations. 7. How we protect it
We can reasonably ensure security commensurate with the sensitivity of the information: access control and logging, encrypted communications, backups, and staff awareness. Withdraw your consent to its use or disclosure;
Ask us to stop this or remove it from the index, in the boxes provided by law;
Obtain the computer information you provide us in a structured format, commonly used in technological technology (portability);

We may update this policy. Replace it with this page with the current date. If a change is significant, we will notify you by any appropriate means.
